About us

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome to Keer Valley Glamping, we're the Barker family.

We have farmed in this area for generations and you will likely see James, Barry and Kevin farming the land during your stay, from the excellent vantage point of the pod site. Both glamping pods are situated on a hill behind the farm, so far enough away to have privacy and peace and quiet but due to the elevation it also offers a great view of the farm yard!

We are 3 families made up of James and Lynda in the old farm house (Mum & Dad Barker) and then you are likely to meet Danielle, Kevin and their two children who also live on site and Cath, Barry and their 3 keen little farmers who are based just a few miles down the road.

The farm land spreads out over 600 acres and has many public footpaths, streams (The Keer unsurprisingly!) and the Settle to Carlisle railway which is a quiet line but a popular route for the most spectacular vintage steam trains.

We are a livestock farm with over 1000 sheep that lamb from January to May as well as a herd of beef cattle and calves. The sheep are often in the neighbouring field to the pods and they love to come over to the fence and say hi to our guests.

We want everyone to have an amazing experience at Keer Valley Glamping, so whether you are on a family getaway, a couples retreat, a walking holiday or anything inbetween, we would love to have you stay with us.
